The Project
The present project consists of the development of a service corridor within the Saguenay industrial-port zone (IPZ). It includes the construction of an access road and a main roadway intended to ensure internal circulation and provide servicing for the parcels located in the targeted area. The project also provides for the preparation of the adjacent right-of-way for the future installation of a railway line. However, the construction and operation of this railway line are not part of the present project and are therefore not considered within the scope of this report.
The work includes clearing, earthworks, and soil management activities required for the installation of the road infrastructure. It also includes the installation of structures necessary for drainage and stormwater management, notably ditches and culverts. Temporary developments related to the construction phase are planned, including temporary access roads and work areas.
The project also includes the installation of sector servicing infrastructure, namely a sewer network, a process water supply and fire protection system, as well as a domestic and industrial wastewater treatment system.
