The Proposed Project

The Ottawa International Airport Authority and Nav Canada are proposing to construct a new camera mast located airside of the Ottawa International Airport (YOW). The 625 sq meter area will allow for the installation of a hybrid steel-concrete camera mast structure and a fibreglass equipment shelter beside the mast base. This new infrastructure will serve as a core component of the Digital Aerodrome Air Traffic Services (DAATS) program, enabling the delivery of Air Traffic Services (ATS) from a location independent of the airport by leveraging a suite of on‑site sensor technologies.
