Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
Demolition of VC-037 and construction of two warehouses (VC-037 and VC-294)

February 27, 2026 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The work will first involve demolishing the existing VC-37 building (1,300 m²), followed by the construction of two new warehouses, each with an area of 1,156 m². The first will be located on the former VC-37 site in the transport yard, and the second in the 5 CER compound.
