Notice of Intent to Make a Determination

La Loche Hotel  - Public Comments invited

February 10, 2026 - Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed La Loche Hotel, to be located on La Loche, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Proposed Project

La Loche Hotel GP Ltd. is developing a fur-story, 60-room hotel in La Loche, Saskatchewan, a strategically located community with growing demand for high-quality accommodations. The hotel will be partially Indigenous-owned. The facility will include modern guest rooms, a conference center, restaurant, fitness room, and an indoor pool with a waterslide. The project footprint will be approximately 48, 400 square feet including the hotel building and the onsite guest parking lot.
