Proposed Project
The Key First Nation is proposing to construct a new fire hall within the core area of the community. The project will include construction of a new 2-bay fire hall building, concrete washdown slab, and surrounding site landscaping (approximately 2,400 m²). The fire hall will house all the fire fighting equipment needs of the community.
Site development will include the stripping of topsoil across all areas of planned ground disturbance including the building footprint, access roadway, and proposed sanitary sewer extension alignment. The building will be serviced with municipal water and sewer. Existing water mains that currently traverse the site will be rerouted within the site to accommodate building construction. A dedicated gravity sewer main will be installed from the fire hall building and will extend approximately 50 m northward, where it will tie into the existing sanitary sewer main located near the sewage pumping station.
