The proposed project

Katzie First Nation (the Applicant) is proposing to replace their fishing boat marina located along the northern shoreline of Bishop's Reach on the Fraser River, Pitt Meadows. The existing marina along with the pier and debris boom are in a state of disrepair and require replacement. The approximately 245 square metre marina that is composed of a pier, debris boom, two floats and approximately 54 steel and wooden piles would be demolished and removed.

The old marina would be replaced with an approximately 445 square metre new marina located directly east of the former marina. It would require the installation of approximately 16 steel piles to support the pier, floats and floating breakwater.

Demolition and construction activities are anticipated to begin in January 2025.
