Truck gate upgrade – DP World Fraser Surrey – Public comments invited
February 24, 2025 – As part of its Project and Environmental Review process, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority must determine whether the proposed Truck gate upgrade – DP World Fraser Surrey, located at 11060 Elevator Road, Surrey, BC are likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Written comments to be received by March 25, 2025.
To help inform this determination and a decision on whether or not to approve the proposed project, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website. In addition, your contact information may be shared with third parties, e.g., the tenant, other relevant agencies, to help respond to your questions and inform possible mitigations.

The proposed project
DP World Fraser Surrey Inc. is proposing to upgrade the terminal truck gate infrastructure at their site located at 11060 Elevator Road, Surrey, BC to increase operational efficiency and integrate modern technology at the terminal. The project would include the establishment of a temporary truck gate for use during construction, removing existing truck gate infrastructure, utility works, and the installation of new gate infrastructure including concrete foundations, a lunchroom, a security kiosk, gates, lighting, and gate technology. The project would also include the realignment of approximately three refrigerated container storage stations resulting in an increase in the overall terminal storage capacity.
