Dust filter modifications – Cargill – Public comments invited

February 19, 2025 – As part of its Project and Environmental Review process, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority must determine whether the proposed dust filter modifications – Cargill, located at 801 Low Level Road, North Vancouver, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Written comments to be received by March 20, 2025.

To help inform this determination and a decision on whether or not to approve the proposed project, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.  For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website. In addition, your contact information may be shared with third parties, e.g., the tenant, other relevant agencies, to help respond to your questions and inform possible mitigations.

The proposed project

Cargill Limited a grain terminal, located at 801 Low Level Road in North Vancouver, are proposing to replace two existing dust filters that have reached their end of life with approximately three new dust filters on the roof of Annex 1 just west of the existing dust filter units. The installation of the dust filters would include associated works, including but not limited to the installation of new structural platforms.
