Upgrading of dock 101 at the Port of Montreal, Montreal East, Quebec – The public is invited to comment by January 15th 2026

 

December 15, 2025 – The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) must determine whether the proposed project Upgrading of dock 101 at the Port of Montreal, Montreal-Est, Québec is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

 

To help inform this decision, the MPA is inviting comments from the public regarding the project. All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online]. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry (CIAR) website.

The Proposed Project

MPA wishes to upgrade dock 101 at the Port of Montreal to ensure safe navigation of ships using this dock. Dock 101 is located on part of Lot 1 250 987 in Montreal East.

The project includes reinforcing the dock foundation, deepening the seabed adjacent to the dock to the required depth required for navigation, installing new fenders, as well as repairing existing dock walls.

The work is scheduled to begin in spring 2026.
