Construction of a new health center in Mani-Utenam – Public Comments Invited

December 9th, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Construction of a new health center in Mani-Utenam, located in Mani-Utenam is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

A new health-center is being built in Mani-Utenam. The project footprint is 1,600 square meters and includes 100 parking spaces. As the land is undeveloped, there will be tree clearing, the establishment of a street grid, the development of municipal infrastructures and the installation of power lines to connect the center to the Hydro-Québec grid.
