The Royal Canadian Mounted Police must determine whether the proposed Little Grand Rapids Dock & Dock Foundation Posts, located in Little Grand Rapids, Manitoba, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The intent of this project is to replace two (2) docks and their foundation posts in Little Grand Rapids. The first dock in Little Grand Rapids is located near the RCMP detachment. The second dock is located across the lake, on the airport side of the community. Options to be considered for all locations are floating docks as they must be removeable during the winter season. In Little Grand Rapids on the airport side, RCMP would like to investigate building a ‘causeway', similar to the existing three that are located in front of the lodge, extending into the water. Waterway requirements for both sites to be determined during design.
