Notice of Time Limit Extension

Ottawa — December 9, 2025, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) granted an extension to the time limit for Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (the proponent) to provide the required information or studies set out in the notice of commencement of the impact assessment of the Upper Beaver Gold Project.

IAAC has taken this action further to a written request from the proponent that the time limit be extended by 15 months. IAAC is of the view that the proponent:

• paused information gathering for the Impact Statement while it confirmed whether the project remained as described in the Detailed Project Description following acquisition of additional business assets in 2023; and
• demonstrated progress in the development of the required information and studies and has a realistic work plan to complete all work.

The new deadline for the proponent to provide the required information and studies described in the notice of commencement of the impact assessment is March 27, 2027.
