YYZ Silver Dart Tank Farm Demolition and Remediation – Public Comments Invited

 

November 25, 2025 – The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) must determine whether the proposed YYZ Silver Dart Tank Farm Demolition and Remediation Project located at Toronto Pearson International Airport is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the GTAA is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. The Proposed Project: YYZ Silver Dart Tank Farm Demolition and Remediation

This project involves the following:

Pearson International Fuel Facilities Corporation (PIFFC) is the owner of fuel storage installations located on Tank Farm Road at YYZ Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, ON that supply jet fuel to the airport.

 

As part of this proposed project, PIFFC will decommission the existing fuel storage installations and conduct remediation at the site. The work will consist primarily of dismantling and removing all underground and aboveground fuel storage tanks and all associated piping, equipment, structural foundations and buildings at the site. Environmental remediation work will be completed in conjunction with the decommissioning of these installations.
