Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is inviting public comments until April 24, 2025 respecting that determination.

All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online].  For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

As part of the Lethbridge Urban Pipeline Upgrade program, ATCO Gas and Pipelines Ltd. is proposing to replace approximately 192 meters of the existing Lethbridge East Lateral Transmission pipeline using horizontal directional drilling (HDD). The project footprint crosses the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Lethbridge Research and Development Center land.
