Summerland Chemical Storage Building Project - Public Comments Invited

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is inviting public comments until July 11, 2025 respecting that determination.

All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online].  For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada intends to build a 560 m² chemical storage building at the Summerland Research and Development Center. The development work will also include: 1. widening and paving an existing gravel access road, 2. paving and gravelling new access driveways, 3. utility hookups, and 4. building landscaping.
