Construction of Accommodations at Camp Vimy - Garrison Valcartier

October 31, 2025 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The work involves the construction of eight new and identical buildings at Camp Vimy, designed to house dormitories, classrooms and washroom facilities. At the same time, the similar ablution buildings CM015, CM026, CM035 and CM045 will be refurbished into command posts, in order to better meet new operational needs and permanent occupancy of the premises.
