Proposed Project
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band Little Red River community is proposing the construction of a water treatment plant and direct distribution system to the residences within the community. The water system will consist of two new groundwater wells, water treatment plant with biological filtration and reverse osmosis treatment system, distribution pumping, distribution piping network and remote reservoir. The capacity of the WTP and equipment will be designed based on a 12 - 15 year lifespan with the ability to expand. The underground piping network will be designed for a 20 year life with distribution pumping equipment designed for 12 year capacities. We will provide a copy of our Feasibility Report containing demand projections and maps for major infrastructure.
The community currently does not have a potable water treatment plant (WTP) or wastewater treatment lagoon within the reserve or the associated distribution and collection systems and currently rely on truck hauling from Montreal Lake to cisterns at each residence.
