The Proposed Project
Sandy Lake First Nation is proposing to design and construct a new Jordans Principal Health Services Building which will meet the needs of the community. Currently, the First Nation needs to book space in the High School or Youth Centre to host activities, but the new building will be used to support families and community members more effectively. During construction phase, physical activities include site preparation including clearing and grubbing, construction of the 2,400 m2 building with foundation construction, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical components, service installations, construction of parking lot, outdoor facilities (i.e., play area, Teepee, and firepit area) and landscaping.
