Notice of intent to make a determination

Piikani Wind Project – Public Comments Invited

August 29, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the Piikani Wind Project located on Piikani Nation reserve lands is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Piikani Resource Development Ltd. (PRDL) in partnership with Solas Energy are proposing to develop a 150 megawatt wind project on Piikani Nation reserve lands.
