Execaire Aviation Paving– Public Comments Invited

 

August 8, 2025 – The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) must determine whether the proposed Execaire Aviatiaon Paving Project located at Toronto Pearson International Airport is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the GTAA is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project: Execaire Aviation Paving

This project involves the following:

1. Remove and dispose of existing asphalt off site. Excavate 24 inches of fill (not concrete). Removal/breaking down of existing 35 tie downs up to 3 ft. and back fill.

2. Supply 6" of U-Fill and with 13" of 3/4" crushed granular.

3. Fine grade and compact granular for positive drainage throughout parking area; compact using commercial heavy duty vibratory roller.

4. Supply and place 3" inches of HL8 Base course asphalt (compacted thickness)

5. Supply and place 2" inches of HL3 Surface course asphalt (compacted thickness).

East of Hangar 8 (Airside) Area 2: Approx 7500 sq ft
