The Proposed Project
Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation Riverbank Stabilization at: a) Cemetery 1 Site involving 2000m2; and B) Red River Outfall 1 Site consisting of 21, 600 m2 . Roseau River Anishnabe First Nation islocated at the junction between the Red River sand Ginew, Manitoba, approximately 15km north of Canada/Us border. A section of dike originally bordering the community cemetery grounds was re-aligned behind the cemetery grounds in response to repeated slope failures. The current dike configuration includes eight gated outfall structures to remove surface water run-off from the dry side of the primary dike under flood conditions. Five of the eight outfall gates operate by gravity and the remaining three outfall gates include pump stations.
