Government of Canada Building (GOCB) Project – Public Comments Invited

August 11, 2025 – The authority must determine whether the proposed Government of Canada Building (GOCB) Project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Written comments must be submitted by September 10, 2025

The Proposed Project

A new Government of Canada building, with a footprint of approximately 6,000 m2 is being constructed in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This is an office accommodation project that Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is undertaking for federal clients. Construction is anticipated to start in 2026.
