White Lake Wharf Demolition and Replacement – Public Comments Invited
May 26, 2025 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Small Craft Harbours Branch, must determine whether the proposed White Lake Wharf Demolition and Replacement project located on White Lake, ON is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Fisheries and Oceans Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project
The Township of McNab/Braeside is planning to undertake harbour improvements at the White Lake Small Craft Harbour site located on the north shore of White Lake in Ontario. The Site is currently used as a Small Craft Harbour, accessible by the general public.
The following work is being planned:
- Demolition and Removal of the existing concrete wharf using land-based equipment
- Grading of the shoreline using on-site, clean fill material to match existing
- Installation of a new, non-fixed aluminum seasonal dock to facilitate boating
- All work to be completed after installation of a silt/turbidity curtain to isolate work area
