Notice of Determination

May 14, 2025 – ADM Aéroports de Montréal has determined that the relocation of the west alternative drop-off area at the P4 parking lot at YUL Montreal-Trudeau International Airport is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects by applying the mitigation measures planned for the project.

This decision is based on the following factors:

  • Mitigation measures that are technically and environmentally feasible below;
  • Community knowledge;
  • Knowledge and impacts on the rights of Indigenous peoples.

The mitigation measures considered in this determination are as follows:

Noise environment and air quality

  • Maintain in good working order trucks and machinery used during construction.
  • Avoid idling equipment during construction.
  • No significant increase in vehicular traffic is anticipated as a result of the relocation of the drop-off area once it is in operation.

Soil quality

  • The soil to be moved is clean, uncontaminated, it comes from landscaping started at the end of 2024.

Water quality

  • Install sediment barriers during work to prevent suspended solids from being carried into the storm water system.
  • The drainage of the drop-off area is integrated into the existing drainage system of the P4 parking lot.

Fauna and flora

  • Reinstall landscaping including trees, grasses and lawn along the vehicular road and exterior pedestrian crossings, the species chosen being the same as those planned for the end of the construction of the P4 parking lot in 2024.

Accordingly, ADM Aéroports de Montréal may exercise its powers to enable the project to be carried out.
