The Proposed Project
The proposed project will include installation of a floating platform that will be equipped with: two fast rescue boats and davits, a lifeboat and davit, and a life raft and slewing davit. The platform will be constructed at the contractor's facilities and anchored at the site of the Canadian Coast Guard College's existing marginal wharf. The proposed platform dimensions are 18m length by 12m wide. With the platform equipped with boat davits, the College will be able to launch boats as required to deliver Marine Emergency Duties (MED) certification training.
