February 05, 2025 – Indian Oil and Gas Canada – IOGC (the Authority) must determine whether the proposed Wellsite Expansion within 15-27-044-10 W5M and associated Borrow Pit located in O'Chiese First Nation Reserve is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, IOGC is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Assessment Description - The Proposed Project

The proposed wellsite expansion by TAQA North Ltd  is being constructed within 15-27-44-10W5M in O'Chiese First Nation Reserve to allow for drilling of 2 additional gas wells from an existing lease. Additional footprint for this project will be 0.56 ha yielding to a total of 3.64 ha (existing plus new footprint). The borrow pit is an expansion of an existing borrow pit.
