Proposed Project

Lac La Ronge Indian Band - Stanley Mission is proposing the construction of its Loon Lake Subdivision Phase 3 project.  The project will see the construction of  87 residential lots in the Loon Lake subdivision of Stanley Mission to the south of the existing Phase 1 and 2 subdivisions. The Loon Lake Subdivision at Stanley Mission was conceptually designed in 2003 to include 363 residential lots and construction of the full subdivision was to be completed in 7 stages. The proposed project will utilize the existing water supply, treatment system, concrete treated water storage reservoirs and wastewater collection systems. New service infrastructure will include Surface drainage and a lot of grading, extending the existing water distribution system and sewage collection system with drainage to SPS No. 5 as well as natural gas, electrical power, and telecommunications line installation.  Fire hydrants will be added along with the mains at spacing no greater then 150m.  Local access roads will be created, walking paths and street lights will be included. The rear portions of the lots will be left untouched and minimal trees will be removed to maintain the natural land condition as much as possible and create barriers between lots.
