Wabigoon Lake Water Treatment System Expansion Project - Public Comments Invited
July 31, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Wabigoon Lake Water Treatment System Expansion Project, located in the community of the Wabigoon Lake First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project
Wabigoon Lake First Nation proposes to expand the water treatment plant and below ground reservoir; replace raw water intake screen; extend and replace water distribution piping; restore the road; and repair raw the raw water barrel, culverts, and air release chamber.
