Notice of Determination

Toronto, Ontario; 2024-07-24– Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) has determined that the proposed Essential Radar Telcom Modernization Toronto Fibre Installation is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects, as long as all mitigation measures are applied.

Potential environmental effects will be managed through technically and economically feasible mitigation measures and implemented for the following: air, water, soil and vegetation.

Mitigation measures taken into account for this determination include:

  • All work to be conducted in compliance with the Toronto Pearson Airport Construction Code.
  • All work will obide by Toronto Region Conservation Authority Permit (TRCA) PER-IPP-00091
  • The contractor has submitted plans for soil management, sediment and erosion control, vegetation restoration and environmental emergency spill response.
  • Mitigation measures are documented in the Environmental Effects Evaluation and can be obtain upon request.

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority(GTAA) is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
