Port Maitland Dock and Boat Launch Repair – Public Comments Invited
June 26, 2024 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada must determine whether the proposed Port Maitland dock and boat launch repair located in Port Maitland, Ontario is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Fisheries and Oceans Canada are inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
The Haldimand County are proposing a dock and boat launch ramp repair project at the Port Maitland Small Craft Harbour. The proposed work includes concrete repairs to a dock cap and walkway, steel rail and bump rail improvements, and addition of various dock components. The work will also include replacement of two modular concrete panels on the boat launch ramp below the high water mark. New pre-cast panels will be used to replace the existing panels.
