Site redevelopment of the ecocenter in Wemotaci – Public Comments Invited

June 20^th, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Site redevelopment of the ecocenter located in Wemotaci is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Written comments must be submitted by July 20th, 2024 to:

The Proposed Project

Work to be carried out includes :

 

• Addition of fire hydrant
• Connection to existing water and sewer system
• Complete reorganization of the site, management of contaminated soil
• Repair and addition of perimeter fencing to permanently secure the site
• Profiling of ditches
• Excavation and site preparation (new foundation structure)
• New concrete structure for roll-off containers
• Concrete slab for all waste storage
• New power supply and lighting
