Lake St. Martin Water Treatment Plant Zebra Mussels Control – Public Comments Invited

June 19, 2024 Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Lake St. Martin Water Treatment Plant Zebra Mussels Control, located in Lake St. Martin First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

This stage of the project is design only for the construction of a chemical storage building and installation of a chemical feed pipe along the existing raw water intake pipe, to the end of pipe, for release of Chlorine Dioxide for zebra mussel control in the water intake pipe. Details on the pipe installation process will be determined during the construction phase.
