Lake Manitoba First Nation - CHRT41 - FNCFS Prevention Centre – Public Comments Invited

June 17, 2024 Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Lake Manitoba First Nation CHRT41 FNCFS Prevention Centre, located in Lake Manitoba First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The scope of this project is to design and build a new prevention center in the east-central part of the community. The location is currently undeveloped, with plans to build a new school immediately north of the proposed site. The new space will be composed of a gymnasium, games room, visiting and programming spaces, as well as wellness and leisure areas. This project includes its water and wastewater. design and construction. The water service will involve the installation of an underground water well. The wastewater service will involve connection to the existing sewer. driveway and parking lot construction, building construction and facility construction.
