Notice of intent to make a determination

Yellow Quill First Nation New Subdivision – Public Comments Invited

June 12, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Yellow Quill First Nation New Subdivision, located in Yellow Quill IR 90 is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Yellow Quill First Nation is proposing to construct a new subdivision northwest of the community core area on approximately 35 hectares of land currently used for agricultural purposes. The proposed subdivision will consist of 40 new residential lots. The project will include site preparation activities such as topsoil stripping and earthworks required for lot grading and drainage, installation of underground utilities and roadway construction.
