Springpole Gold Project – Participant Funding Available

 

February 22, 2024 — The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (the Agency) is conducting a federal environmental assessment under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012 for the proposed Springpole Gold Project, a new open-pit gold/silver mine and metal mill located about 110 kilometres northeast of Red Lake, Ontario.

Funding provided by the Agency is now available for eligible individuals and groups to support their participation in upcoming steps of the environmental assessment. These steps include reviewing and providing comments on the proponent's Environmental Impact Statement or the summary thereof, and the Agency's draft Environmental Assessment Report and potential conditions.

Applications received by March 25, 2024, will be considered.
