Lake Manitoba - South Access Road Upgrades - 2324 – Public Comments Invited

Jan 3, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Lake Manitoba - South Access Road Upgrades - 2324, located in Lake Manitoba is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Upgrade of a 12.5 km stretch of the existing LMFN South Access Road. Forested areas along the road right of way will be cleared. The existing road surface will be re-graded and re-constructed with compacted subgrade and granular road base from local borrow pits. Ditching will be re-graded along the roadside
