The Proposed Project:

This geotechnical investigation work is proposed to collect soil, rock and groundwater information for studies that will support preliminary planning and design work as Metrolinx further evaluates the potential for a future connection between the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension and Pearson Airport. The scope of the geotechnical investigation consists of borehole drilling, monitoring well installation, and collection of soil, rock and groundwater samples that will inform environmental studies. Before drilling, the existing utilities will be located, and the proposed borehole drilling will be adjusted accordingly. During the field work, drill rigs will be employed to dig boreholes and monitoring wells. Proper traffic control will be provided on site as required.
