Notice of intent to make a determination
Ininizhimo Transitional Housing Project – Public Comments Invited
March 1, 2023, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Transitional Housing Project in Garden River First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse effects. To help inform this determination, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project
Garden River First Nation is proposing to build transitional housing. The project consists of a three townhome style blocks with 14 total units. The total project building area is approximately 1114 sq m and construction will include the building and parking areas. Project activities include clearing and grubbing and the installation of, access driveway/parking, construction of foundations, backfill and grading, utilities and services including water and sewer lines as well as power and communication lines.
