Wasauksing First Nation: Lot Servicing for Future Houses – Public Comments Invited

February 6, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed lot servicing for Future Houses Project, located in the community of the Wasauksing First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The community of the Wasauksing First Nation proposed this project to clear, service and prepare lots to accommodate future houses. A lot of >100 m2 on undeveloped lands were proposed within the community. Physical activities include earth works related to site preparation and clearing, extension of road, water and sanitation services.
