Notice of Time Limit Resuming

Ottawa — February 7, 2023 — On January 27, 2023, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), in collaboration with National Capital Commission (NCC) (the proponent) provided its Detailed Project Description of the Alexandra Bridge Replacement Project to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (the Agency). The proponent's response to the Summary of Issues is detailed in Part B: Planning Phase Results of the Detailed Project Description. On February 7, 2023, the Agency accepted these documents as it determined that they contained the information prescribed by the Information and Management of Time Limits Regulations. The proponent thereby completed the activity for which the proponent had requested that the time limit be suspended on May 30, 2022. As a result, the 180-day time limit has resumed as of January 27, 2023.

The 180-day time limit is the period of time within which the Agency must provide the proponent with a notice of the commencement of the impact assessment, if the Agency decides that an impact assessment of the project is required.
