Notice of Determination

Rhome, Texas – January 24, 2023 – The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) has determined that the proposed expansion of an industrial building of Ryex Developments is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

This determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

• impacts on rights of Indigenous peoples;
• Indigenous knowledge;
• community knowledge;
• comments received from the public; and
• technically and economically feasible mitigation measures.

Mitigation measures taken into account for this determination are:

At the moment of the determination:

• Septic permit has been issued by the County of Wise state of Texas.
• Phase I environmental site assessment report.

During the disbursement of the loan:

• The client must report immediately any accident or malfunctions that may have material adverse effects on the environment.

When the project is completed:

• The client must notify BDC in writing of the completion of the project.

BDC is satisfied that that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

Therefore, BDC may provide financial assistance to enable the project to be carried out in whole or in part.
