Piapot First Nation Road to Community Wells - Public Comments Invited

December 14, 2022 - Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Piapot First Nation Road to Community Wells, located on Piapot IR 75, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

This project involved the rehabilitation of a key access road to the community wells in Piapot First Nation. This will include resurfacing, minor grading, and clearing and reestablishment of overgrown ditches. All quarters of Sec19 TWP21 R18 W2M. Upgrade of 950 meters of existing roadway in the Piapot Community. Roadway is overgrown and has a poor surface structure. Topsoil stripping, Common excavation, geotextile installation, culvert installation, gravel installation, topsoil replacement and seeding. General construction waste (i.e access material, geotextile, culverts)
