October 20, 2022 – Infrastructure Canada must determine whether the proposed WRFN Septic Bed Assessment/Replacement Program project within the Whitefish River First Nation reserve in ON is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Infrastructure Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments will be considered public. Project Summary

The project will replace an repair septic beds in the Whitefish River First Nation reserve in Ontario. The work will assess the condition and environmental impact of existing septic beds, replace 20 failing septic beds, repair 19 failing septic beds, replace 350 m of watermain, and decommission the existing septic pit.  The project will improve the capacity to treat and manage wastewater and extend the life of the assets.
