The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which involves the procurement and construction of a prefabricated metal building. The building is planned to be located on the existing footing currently occupied by building WP1119 at Work Point. Building WP1119 is scheduled to be demolished. The building will be serviced with overhead electrical and communications. The building will have lighting, heating, ventilation and fire protection systems. The only required excavation and backfill work is for the water service line that will supply the fire sprinkler system. Once constructed, the building will be used for general warehousing storage. There will be no storage of hazardous materials.
