The Proposed Project

The Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club (OHGC), located at 3811 North Bowesville Road is proposing to relocate its existing grounds maintenance facility to the south-east portion of the existing property. The proposed development site is approximately 1.4 ha.  A small diameter pipe (450mm) is required as part of the stormwater management design that would outlet stormwater from the proposed development to the Department of National Defense (DND) owned ditch located on federal lands, abutting the east property line of the existing Ottawa Hunt and Gold Club property. Flow to the ditch would be controlled through inlet control device (ICD), to ensure post development flows are controlled. Water quality control will be provided through grass swales and an oil and grit separator located on the OHGC property.  Proposed works to implement the stormwater pipe includes the removal of existing vegetation, minor excavation, grading and the placement of riprap protection. The anticipated area of impact on federal lands is 20 square metres.
