Notice of determination for the Peepeekisis Community Centre Gas Bar

August 17, 2022 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Peepeekisis Community Centre Gas Bar is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

-the Peepeekisis Community Centre Gas Bar will provide continued revenue, employment and training opportunities for members of Peepeekisis Cree Nation
-no public comments were received about the project
 -an emergency response plan is available for the Gas Station
-the fuel storage tanks registration with Environment and Climate Change Canada will be submitted prior to operation of the gas station
-the operation will be in compliance with all applicable Federal Regulations including The Storage Tanks and Petroleum Allied Products Regulations

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
