Notice of intent to make a determination

Stoney Nakoda Broadband Tower installation – Tower 14 – Public Comments Invited

July 12, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Broadband Tower installation – Tower 14 Project located in Stoney Nakoda Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

This project in Stoney Nakoda Nation includes the installation of one of three 52 meter (160') free standing (no guidewires) telecommunication towers in various locations on Morley Reserve. The base of the tower site development will be approximately 20m x 20m or 400 m2.  The goal of the project is to provide full broadband service to Stoney Nakoda Nation members
