Notice of Commencement of an Impact Assessment

Ottawa – May 31, 2022 – The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (the Agency) has commenced an impact assessment pursuant to the Impact Assessment Act (IAA) for the GCT Deltaport Expansion – Berth Four Project (the Project). On November 3, 2021, the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, referred the impact assessment of the Project to an independent review panel.

The Agency has issued the Joint Guidelines and required plans, developed in collaboration with British Columbia's Environmental Assessment Office, to the proponent to guide the development of the Impact Statement for the Project:

• Joint Indigenous Engagement and Partnership Plan
• Joint Assessment Plan
• Joint Permitting and Regulatory Coordination Plan
