May 13, 2022 -  Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed AZA Roadway Granular Procurement and Design-Build Construction Project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

Implementation of mitigation measures is required for the project to address:

The predominate vegetation is heavy dense wooded Northwestern Ontario boreal forest. The trees that are cleared will be used for fire wood, whatever cannot be utilized as fire wood will be chipped and used as organic mulch.

The general contractor will be required to provide the Project Team an emergency spill and waste
management procedure and plan. This plan will need to be approved by the community.

The location of this granular will be determined by the Design-Builder (General Contractor). We will determine if it is free of contaminants by ensure that quality assurance according to the appropriate Ontario Provincial Standards (OPSS) are adhered to.

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
