The proposed amendment

Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. on behalf of Mainland Sand and Gravel is proposing to remove two 660 millimeter diameter by 100 metre long steel pipes (approximately 30 to 40 metres of each pipe remains within Port Authority jurisdiction). An extension to the approved Dredge Pipe Removals (PER No. 21-063) with an expiry date of June 30, 2022 is required as the Applicant was not able to complete the works due to the high demand of the required A-frame support vessel.

The Applicant has requested a permit extension to February 28, 2023 to complete the works during safe working conditions (i.e., outside peak freshet). There are no changes to construction activities or the scope of work outlined in the approved permit (available here).
